End of April

End of April

And so goes the month of April and soon to join the family will be Baby Sebastien. But until then, Miss Chloe is certainly enjoying the spotlight and all the attention from Daddy as you can see from the picture and video below.

WithDaddy

The weather has been absolutely beautiful and so we’ve gone out as often as we can to get our fill of Vitamin D after the long winter. The park is of course packed with everyone else who has the same idea. Chloe is a handful when you take her to the park now because she wants to chase all the kids (big and small) as well as the birds and so I find it nearly impossible to snap any pictures of her when I’m alone with her. Here are two quick ones I managed to take the other day.

Park

Chloe continues her dancing marathon – we took a bunch of little films throughout the week and stuck them together. She is just too funny. I think she likes disco music the best so far. We tried Michael Jackson and Madonna but she likes the 70’s the best.

Chloe is too big now for the red Megaseat so we can’t sit her on the kitchen island anymore, otherwise we run the risk of her pushing backwards with her legs or tipping the whole thing over when she reaches over the side. And I don’t like to keep her all the time in her high chair so Daddy put her on the bar stool tonight and I snapped these pics below. She is getting so big so fast! And what is that face? So nosy!

The video below was after we had dinner. She had her usual – a blend of rice, chicken, brussel sprouts, broccoli, sweet potato, lentils and carrots – but she was just absolutely CRAZY tonight. I’ll let the video show you what I mean.

Busy Week

Busy Week

It was a VERY busy week with lots of video and photos to edit. Daddy took some great videos indoors and we spent the beautiful weekend outside with friends so here’s a little of everything! I’ll let you enjoy the video, no need for explanations!

Fun outdoors:

The weather really was so beautiful outside that I couldn’t get enough pictures of Miss Chloe in her colorful outfit.

And how did we end this very busy weekend?  With an overnight stay at Grandma and Grandpa’s. And what’s the first thing that Grandpa does when he sees Miss Chloe? Of course, feed her something terrible. I’m sure you can guess what is ALL over her face. The best picture, by far though, is thanks to Grandma who saw them both passed out later on the couch! =0)

A Super Fun Weekend

A Super Fun Weekend

We spent the weekend in CT celebrating Uncle Savio’s 60th birthday (happy birthday US!). Chloe was supremely well-behaved in the car on the way up and on the way back, no complaints here. It was a very busy weekend with lots of firsts.

That’s some Grandpa and Granddaughter love right there, I tell you. Quality time like no other, Chloe even gets her hair (or what little there is of it) combed for the first time! Watch her expression at the very end, ha ha.

It was a beautiful weekend and we got back early enough on Sunday that we were able to go out to the neighborhood park and enjoy the first of many warm days. I think Chloe enjoyed herself thoroughly; she crashed as soon as we got home for a long nap!

Why Everyone Loves Grandparents

Why Everyone Loves Grandparents

So I totally forgot to post this video with the Easter pictures. Chloe is sitting with Grandpa on the kitchen counter and what does Grandpa give Chloe as a snack? Not her little goldfish crackers, not her honey nut cheerios… Sun Chips. And I love how carefully she watches Grandpa as she goes to reach for the chips as if to ask for permission – especially the side glance to me to see if I’m going to yell at her, ha ha! I guess it could be worse. Actually it probably is much worse when I’m not around to see what’s going on. But that’s why EVERYONE loves their grandparents, it’s the place you go to where you get to eat everything and anything that Mom and Dad won’t let you eat. =0)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

We celebrated Easter with just a simple family dinner in Casa Mui Richard with Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Queenie. The menu included a super yummy hoisin-rice vinegar-honey-soy glazed ham, oven roasted asparagus, garlic bread and mashed potatoes. Dessert was fantastic as well thanks to Chef Laurent with raspberries poached in orange juice covered with chocolate sabayon.

Miss Chloe had her Easter outfit on (I’m so glad it fit, I thought for sure she was going to be too long for the outfit but I was happily surprised!). Love you Sab for all the great hand-me-downs, can’t thank you enough!

When I look at these pictures, Chloe looks so much bigger! It’s only been thirteen months and she’s this little lady already! Thanks to Kevin for the great chair!

And Chloe absolutely LOVES her Spongebob stuffed animal that Great Auntie Josephine bought her for her birthday. She literally goes bananas when you ask her “where is Sponge Sponge Sponge?”. She squeals and proceeds to run towards Spongebob to give him a great big hug and bury her face in him. Myrtle the Turtle comes in a close second to Spongebob but he is definitely her favorite.

Happy April

Happy April

Yay for springtime, let’s hope the weather will cooperate. It’s still too cold and too rainy to take Miss Chloe out much so all of our updates are still from indoors. I’m not sure what was going on at home when this picture was taken but I can only imagine how funny it must have been to see Chloe in Daddy’s motorcycle boots.

That’s not to say that Miss Chloe isn’t standing on her own. Check out our silly little girl!

First Look at Baby Sebastien

First Look at Baby Sebastien

During one of our recent doctor visits, we got some new 3D sonogram pictures taken to see how Baby Sebastien was developing. Everything looks great – ten fingers and ten toes – two big eyes just like Chloe. Actually, I think he looks a lot like Chloe, can’t wait to see if they actually turn out looking like each other in a few years. I’ve gained 22 pounds so far and I am the weight I was when I gave birth to Chloe. For sure this little fella is going to be bigger than his older sister!

Hello March!

Hello March!

It has been forever since my last post, sorry, but with Laurent in France for two weeks and work as crazy as usual, the time just seems to continue to fly by. Thank gosh for my parents who watched Chloe while Laurent was away and bless my mom for living with us those two weeks. It’s an absolutely AMAZING thing to come home from work and have dinner ready on the table. Love you mom. Here are some updated pictures of Miss Chloe during these two weeks.

142_Box

She looks so sad in the last one, as if to say “Daddy, why am I sitting in the diaper box?”

Chloe is not yet walking on her own yet, but she’s definitely in walk mode but she needs something to help her maintain her balance. Hence, she laps around the house from living room to dining room to hallway holding onto the sofa, the walls or the chairs. Check it out.

This video is most recent. It just sort of randomly happened. She turned on the metronome herself and just started rocking. I guess our girl has got some good rhythm. Might have to start those piano lessons sooner rather than later!

Dancing Chloe

Dancing Chloe

Chloe’s latest new activity is walking the length of the staircase, hanging onto the banisters for dear life as she goes up and down the hallway. I’m a little worried because she’s getting to the point where if she stands on her tippy toes, she can reach the release latch of the staircase gate. Something we’ll need to keep our eye on, I doubt she’ll figure out how to open the spring loaded release but you never know. And I don’t know when we started singing the Chipmunk song “Oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang” but I think Chloe seems to get a kick out of it, what do you think?

And of course my FAVORITE part of the whole clip is this picture I’ll leave you with. She’s so DARN CUTE!
