So last week was our first test run of the new “schedule” since I am officially back to work. Chloe spends Sunday and Monday nights with Grandma and Grandpa. Daddy switches the kiddies on Tuesdays. Then Grandma and Grandpa bring Sebastien back home Thursday night so I get to see the kiddies on the weekend. Chloe is used to going to Grandma’s but Sebastien is still adjusting – the first day was a little tough (I think Queenie said he cried for 20 minutes nonstop, poor baby) but I think he’ll get the hang of it soon.

Here are some pictures from Grandma (and yes, that’s my mother feeding my daughter pizza, YES PIZZA!!!)

And what does Chloe spend her days doing? Going to the park and going to the park, and did I mention going to the park? She LOVES going to the park, can you tell?

And what is my little sweet boy up to lately? How about sucking his thumb, index finger, fist, you name it, and that hand is just stuck up there in his mouth. Doesn’t matter that I tie him up with a swaddle, he is SO strong that he always finds a way out. And although he’s only three months, I tell you, these babies know exactly what they’re doing. Look at that face with that mischievous look – if he could speak, he would say “hi ma, ha ha, hands up!”

 

And with a sad heart, it’s time to return back to work. No more getting up with the kiddies. No more spending the days running around the house or going to the park. Sigh. Gotta face reality. And in knowing that my maternity leave has ended, I spent the day snapping more pictures as I’m guessing there won’t be as many pictures in the near future. We will have to rely on Grandma and Daddy to keep supplying the blog with new material (*hint hint*)

Here’s a bad selfie of the family (darn kitchen island light) but you get the gist… I actually don’t think we have very many pictures of the four of us come to think of it…

More silly pictures of us around the house. =0) Yes, that’s Chloe in a hat, I know. It didn’t last long. That’s actually the hat she came home from the hospital with (which is why it doesn’t fit her big head). She’s been dragging the laundry all over the house (the clean laundry mind you) and she just randomly takes all these things out.

Happy three months to Baby Sebastien! No doctor’s visit till next month so no stat updates but here’s a new picture of our little man!

So excited for a visit from Cousin Michelle and baby Abby! She’s so big!

Sebastien is all smiles nowadays and absolutely loves to sit and talk with you. He gurgles and coos and there’s just a whole bunch of saliva everywhere, he’s just so cute.

Has it already been two weeks since our last post? Where do the days go? It seems they just go quicker and quicker and soon I’ll be headed back to work which makes me so sad. I suppose I have to enjoy these last few weeks while I can and make the most of them. Sigh.

It’s finally hot enough that we’ve broken out all the summer tank tops and dresses. Although it is getting harder to take pictures of Chloe in her outfits as all she does is run to me and so all the pictures are fuzzy.

Visits from the family…

And visits with old friends. Summer of last year, baby Chloe met Megan for the first time. This summer, baby Sebastien met Megan for the first time. Megan has gotten so big so fast!

And since we’re looking at flashbacks, how do you like this one?  =0)

Happy two months to Baby Sebastien! Doctor’s visit went very well, Sebastien has grown another two inches and another two pounds since his last visit four weeks ago. At this rate, I think he’s going to catch up to Chloe very quickly and probably end up being a little taller and a little bigger than she is. Good thing too, that way she can’t beat him up because she is a tough little cookie. Say hello to our cute little man!

Sebastien gets bigger every day and changes faster than I remember Chloe did at her age. He makes noises and coos back when you talk to him already at two months and smiles when he sees you coming. Here are a few new pictures that Daddy took.

And of course, as Sebastien gets bigger and Chloe stops swatting him, we’ll take more and more pictures of the two kiddies together. I think they look alike, what do you think? I can’t wait till they are a little bit older, I think they might look like twins!

Our new daily routine with Chloe generally involves going to the park so she can burn some energy. Here are some recent photos of her outdoor adventures.

And Chloe have fun running around the mirror “artwork” in Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was sort of like the mirrors in the carnival fun houses.

And here’s a video of Chloe’s first encounter with sand… can’t wait till we’re out of the “let me put everything in my mouth” phase!

Wishing all the dad’s out there a very happy Father’s day, especially this daddy of five!!

I don’t know if it’s because I’m paying attention this time around or perhaps it’s because I know what to look for, but it seems that Sebastien is doing all sorts of random things much earlier than Chloe was. For instance, I don’t remember Chloe opening her hands until around 3 months because I remember how smelly and sweaty her palms were; Sebastien has his hands open already at six weeks and even opens them when I bathe him which makes cleaning his palms so much easier! And I thought Chloe had great neck strength early on – this little guy absolutely refuses to put his head down when you burp him on your shoulder. He is too curious and wants to look at everything. He even sits in the MegaSeat already by himself!

So of course we took advantage of this and put big sister Chloe behind him for their first picture together!!! =0)

Chloe has so much energy nowadays that it’s great that the weather is so nice and we can take her outside so she can burn some of that energy. Here are some outdoor pictures courtesy of Daddy.

Chloe is also experimenting in the playground, although she’s still a bit small for some of the activities. She absolutely does love the slide though. I think we love what the plastic slide does to her fluffy hair, check it out!

Probably my favorite outfit of Chloe’s lately… such cute short shorts (thanks GoMa Melanie)… and of course the shirt speaks for itself…
