I know Chloe isn’t quite three years old yet, but I’m trying to build good habits. So I tried to teach her to fold her bib (in the hopes of getting her to fold her clothes soon!). Not bad right?

I don’t know what compelled Chloe to break out in song during our car ride to the grocery store but I’m sure glad I caught it on video! A little off-key, but A for effort and conviction!

We started the Year of the Rooster with a very early morning. The kids were not even awake when we turned the lights on and woke them up, as you can tell by poor Chloe’s hair!

And then from there, the morning was a blur visiting multiple houses and the kids were very well behaved and great sports in their cute outfits!

Home for a long nap (Mommy and Daddy also took one with the kids) and then off to the last house and dinner! It was a great day! Thanks to everyone for sharing pictures! We love our crazy big family!

This video is courtesy of Grandpa who went to check on Sebastien during his nap only to find him covered in lotion. How much of it did he eat – no one will ever know. Luckily it was only lotion and not some other form of topical ointment. Funny but not really funny. Sigh. These kids.

Cooking lesson #1 with Chloe. I don’t know how I’m going to do this with the two of them since I know if I put Chloe up on a stool that Sebastien will come running to join us. So I took advantage of the fact that Sebastien was still asleep to prop Chloe up with me to cook her lunch.

A sunny but still very chilly day (notice the gloves on the kids) and we managed to spend a little time scooting in the schoolyard. I think Sebastien is getting the hang of it!

So on the weekends, I generally wear this black elastic hairband to keep my hair from falling into my face while I’m doing housework or cooking. So last Saturday morning, I call Chloe to come to the kitchen and drink her milk and I bust out laughing because somehow she’s found a white elastic from one of her Christmas gifts and has put it on her head to copy me. I quickly snapped a few pictures of her because I thought it was funny. She looks good in a headband, maybe I’ll buy her a few more.

And remember that wooden numbers puzzle I bought for Sebastien for Christmas? This little one is scary quick – it took him only a week to master it – check it out. And yes, you saw that look with the eyebrow, right? As if to say “Ma, come on, I got this”.

The kids on one of their daily walks. I love that they hold hands and always want to be together, it’s so sweet (I know, it’s not going to last…)

During his visits to the Brooklyn Public Library, Sebastien took great interest in these wooden peg puzzles that they had.  So we picked up a few for the house – he’s absorbed – at least until the Mui temper kicks in…

It was a wonderful weekend of family and good (albeit not perfect) food. So blessed for a healthy and happy family.

I took more videos than pictures while the kids were opening presents. It took me forever to just get these photos out so stay tuned, I’ll edit the videos hopefully tomorrow and get them posted. But our main gift that we got the kids was this tent and tunnel combination and we threw about 200 plastic balls in there.  If was awesome and they LOVED it.  And it didn’t bug me that they threw half the balls downstairs… yet…but they better go pick them up!

And Sebastien is just too cute for words. I know, I’m his mom and all moms say that about their kids. But really, I can’t. He’s too much. Here’s the pictures of him in his bowtie (thanks Auntie Queenie):

After dinner, and after the kids have picked up all their toys and put them away, and if there’s enough time before bath time, we watch a few music clips from the Sound of Music. Check out Chloe, she’s a pro now, and Sebastien is not far behind her once his vocabulary catches up!

I think Sebastien had a growth spurt and none of us noticed – check out the picture on the left, my little man is not so little anymore – he’s so tall! And I don’t think he’s realized how long his legs have gotten either because this is how I found him asleep one night, with his legs up to his knees sticking out through the slits in the crib!
More time inside means breaking out more toys to keep the kids engaged. By far their favorite activities are reading books and playing with puzzles.

And sometimes the kids sit together quietly and play and sometimes they don’t. Case and point. I used to say that Sebastien was younger and didn’t know that he was hitting Chloe; I take that back – Sebastien is an instigator and equally as much a troublemaker if not more when it comes to fights with Chloe.

And poor Chloe has to endure Grandpa’s mean teasing. She’s all prepped and ready for bed and Grandpa just leaves her hanging out on top of the sink, I felt so bad for her. Good thing there’s a big smile at the end. She’s a good sport.
