According to my Dad, he says “Not quite”. I don’t know… I see a little resemblance… nose and mouth… what do you think?

I can’t believe that it’s been 2 years already. My little baby boy… looking so grown up… he needs to settle and stay little just a little while longer so Mommy can enjoy it.

Happy birthday baby. We love you.

And here’s Chloe. In a dress. And pigtails. Now before you tell me “oh, her hair is so long, i love it”, let me tell you that she NEVER lets me put her hair in pigtails. The elastics go in and before I can even enjoy it for 5 minutes, she’s already pulled them out. The only reason she left them in today is because I threatened to take her dress off if she took her pigtails out. So there. I know. Karma. That’s my feisty daughter. Just like her mother. Sigh. =0)

And my two kids. I love them. I really do. Being a mother is truly the best possible gift in life and I am so thankful and so blessed to have my beautiful, healthy, crazy, loud, aggressive, lovable, adoring, kind, and caring kids. Yes they drive me crazy sometimes and make me scream but that pales in comparison to the joy and light they bring to my life. And when they are sweet together, like you can see in these pictures below, I love them that much more.

And then of course, they are back to their normal crazy, loud selves.

I thought I had a picture of Chloe or Sebastien when they were really small and had fallen into this bowl on the table but I couldn’t find it. Needless to say, they’re much bigger now!

Lots of rain this month and so the kids have been stuck inside watching the rain. And occasionally they get to go outside and play with the puddles!

Finally, a nice weekend and the kids got to spend time outside in the garden in t-shirts. I think I need to put my kids to work – clearly they get the gist of wiping up – going to start that chores list early I tell you. Folding laundry next!

Yay for a visit from the cousins! I wish Virginia wasn’t so far so we could get together more often as the kiddies are just so cute together! We miss you Abby and Michael!

Pictures of the kids lately… Sebi in his dashing cap… new comforter sets for the kids to trick them into staying underneath the blankets at night (it’s not working btw)… the kids with their backpacks and umbrellas running around the house…

Laurent took Sebastien with him to buy a new broom and Sebastien insisted on carrying it home LOL.

Warmer weather last week so the kids spent some long overdue time at the park. They absolutely love to watch people play basketball.

Sorry to all the friends and family who were checking the blog and found no updates! Mommy went away for 9 days and then got stranded for a few more days because of the NYC blizzard. It’s so good to be home and I missed the kids! Laurent was so sweet and sent me a few videos of Chloe while I was abroad:

Remember the ball pit from Christmas?  Well we don’t take the tunnel out as much anymore as it just takes up way too much room but the kids found the hiding spot where we store the balls and so they ask to play with it. Wait till they realize what a real ball pit is like – this is nothing compared to that!

Check out Chloe’s pigtails! She won’t stay still long enough for me to take a picture but you can sort of see it in the video. Kids are so noisy, why are they so noisy? Ha ha.

Sébastien continues to absolutely amaze me. I do believe that part of it is because he sees what Chloe is doing and he wants to do what she does, but it’s scary how quickly he learns things. I don’t know how but one night he just started counting in French… probably imitating Chloe but who knew!? He’s not even 2 years old yet!

Laurent took a great video of the kids just playing together as they sit and have lunch. There’s lots of sibling love even if Chloe is saying “don’t pull my hair”.

In the blink of an eye, our little girl is now 3 years old. She has changed so much in just the last year – the amount of information she absorbs and the things that she says and asks continues to absolutely amaze me. We are so lucky to have Miss Chloe and she is such a sweet, well behaved little girl. Love you Chloe.

Every night between showers and lights out, we spend time reading “lots of books” (according to Chloe). I love that both my kids enjoy reading so much and I hope that it’s a past time we’ll continue to build as they get older.
