This summer, we decided to take the kids once a week to the YMCA pool to get them acclimated and ready for swim classes. This weekend was our first trip. Sebastien took a little time to warm up to the pool but Chloe surprisingly was happy as a fish!
It was so hot on Saturday that we took the kids to the sprinkler in the afternoon for some fun and relief.
Here are some pictures and videos from May. For once, Chloe and Sebastien are sitting nicely together and playing the piano. It won’t be long before Chloe’s piano lessons start… and why is my son so serious with his drawing? Mr. Picasso over here…
Last Friday, we had a busy day with back to back dentist and doctor appointments for both kids. Sebastien and Chloe both sat very nicely by themselves in the dentist chair – hooray!
Sebastien dancing to some Rihanna. He’s so silly.
We opened the garden officially and put our camping tent out there just for fun.
Chloe’s hair is getting much longer and I try my best to tie it up when I can, knowing she’s going to be a sweaty mess this summer. In doing so, I have to brush it because it tangles so easily and so I let her brush mine.
And a visit from Uncle Savio with a great big gift! I forgot to take a picture WITH Uncle Savio!
It was a beautiful spring weekend and so we took the kids out for a walk to the piers. It’s so nice when they’re being nice to each other, holding hands and walking down the street. Much better than chasing each other around the house and screaming at each other, ha ha!
Sebastien is really serious about this train – he is going all out with his driving!
And there’s nothing better than playing with Daddy!
One night, while doing the kids bedtime routine, I was feeling a little sore and so I decided to stretch a little bit. And as a result, now we’ve added stretching to our bedtime routine before reviewing flash cards and reading books. I walked out and snuck back in and filmed them practicing on their own:
A warmer day meant some fun in the schoolyard for a change. On our way back home, Sebastien stops to talk to a lovely blonde girl (yes, he knows how to pick them already) and tells her that he has to go home now. And then somehow Sebastien and Chloe manage to convince this girl and her friends to give them a ride in their wagon. These kids I tell you…
