Saturday

Saturday

There are so many reasons to love Saturday. Not having to go to work, getting to sleep later than 5am, but of course the best reason is because I get to spend all day with hubby and baby Chloe. Here’s my new favorite pic of 2015 (so far, lol, I’m sure there’ll be many more):

I love how the first picture is SUPER serious and very “Yes, who me?” as she looks at you dead on in the camera. And then of course, she busts out laughing because that’s the kind of awesome fun personality she has. Love our little girl, she’s so silly. And this is a new one for Chloe – she does it very well when she grabs my fingers to stand up, but this is all on her own!

Keeping Busy

Keeping Busy

So I really do love the hat that Grandma knitted and so it has been our mission this week to try and distract Miss Chloe when we put her hat on. This was try #1:

As you can see, this little girl clearly has got her own no-nonsense agenda and she is going to do as she pleases. Just wait, a few months from now, it will be accompanied by “no, i don’t want to wear a hat dad”. This was try #2 – Laurent gave her his ring to play with and the hat probably stayed on a total of 60 seconds before she once again pulled it right off. Oh well, at least I got two quick snapshots.

Miss Chloe continues to keep us busy and entertained, heck she is busy entertaining herself. I think her enjoyment of the stationary jumper is just about over as she finds the walker with wheels far more entertaining. She’ll zip around the living room, into the kitchen, down the hallway and back again. That or Daddy uses her as our new robotic vacuum.  Who says kids aren’t great?!

Eleven Months

Eleven Months

It’s hard to believe that our little girl is going to be one year old in less than a month! Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday we were putting her in the car seat for the first time and how little she was! But she’s not that little baby anymore, oh no, she’s this little person with a great big personality and lots to share! Happy Eleven Months to our little girl.

Love the hat that Grandma knitted for her. It’s too bad she refuses to keep any hats on at all because she’s so darn cute in hats! I think it took us six tries to get a few successful shots, ha ha! Meanwhile, here are some other pics from Auntie Queenie.

Miss Chloe has changed a lot in the last two weeks. We believe she is starting to try to form words or at least sounds, two in particular, with great consistency as you can see in the video below. Enjoy!

And for those that have asked, yes, we will be in town for Valentine’s Day and we’re planning a very simple cake cutting event at Casa Mui Richard at 3pm on Saturday, February 14th. Please feel free to join us if you like (and let me know if you plan on stopping by so we’ve got a vague idea on a headcount since Chef Laurent is making the cake YAY).

First Music Lesson

First Music Lesson

While Chloe’s first piano lesson is definitely a few years away, I’ve got to say that I think this little girl is going to enjoy music classes in her future. Here are some early hits from Miss Chloe.

Who Needs a Teething Ring?

Who Needs a Teething Ring?

While we have yet to see our first official tooth, we can definitely see the beginnings of white teeth emerging from Chloe’s gums. As a result, she’s been chewing on her thumb a bit more (as opposed to sucking on it) and the pacifier holds no interest for her anymore. We went and bought one of those plastic teething rings that you can pop in the freezer thinking that she would like the texture and the cold relief but either it’s too big for her mouth or it’s too heavy for her to hold and so there goes a waste six dollars. So what am I doing one day but prepping for dinner. I’ve got a bag full of snowpeas out that I’m shelling and before I know it, Miss Chloe has found herself the ultimate teething solution for a mere few pennies. Wish she had told me earlier!

And we had to share this video because it’s just so darn funny. Don’t mind the shaking video, I tried my best not to laugh but it was hard. And make sure your speakers are turned on! Enjoy!

Happy 2015!

Happy 2015!

And so we wrap up 2014. It’s been an amazing year, mostly due to the addition of baby Chloe. I can’t believe how fast this year went. Chloe is ten months, soon to be one year, she’s got a great personality and is so responsive and happy and always laughing (especially in front of the camera!). Laurent and I are so incredibly grateful for baby Chloe and all our friends and family that have supported us this year – we could not have done it without you!

That being said, we’d like to let all our friends and family know that we’re so happy to announce that we’ll be adding to our little family in May 2015. I’ll let Chloe make the announcement since her expressions below are just priceless. Wishing everyone a wonderful and happy 2015!

Happy Chloe

Happy Chloe

What happens when you let Grandpa feed baby Chloe copious amounts of cake and cookies? She doesn’t go to sleep at night because she’s high on a sugar rush, that’s what. =0) Well not copious, but definitely more than normal but I guess that’s what happens on the holidays? Or maybe just when Grandpa is around?

Ten Months

Ten Months

Happy (belated) ten months to Miss Chloe. We went for a weight check and Miss Chloe gained more than a pound and a half over the last month or so. Whew! While she’s certainly not a big girl, you can definitely feel the extra ounces when you pick her up. Stay tuned for Christmas pictures! Happy holidays to everyone and all our love and best wishes.
