Ready for Christmas
The kiddies are ready for Christmas! We visited Dyker Heights for the first time with the kids so they could see the extreme holiday decorations. We had lots of fun!

I’ve been having some trouble engaging Chloe and getting her to learn sounds. I realized she was doing more from picture recognition than letter and sound comprehension. So Daddy helped me install a magnetic whiteboard in their bedroom and now we’re going to start small word construction with basic phonics… I hope… but first we started with just fun with letters… stay tuned!
More baking fun with Daddy!

Play dates with Sabrina, Matt, Lara and Melanie. Hours of fun with play doh (just don’t look at my floor lol). Thank you to Sabrina and Melanie for a wonderful day!

Chloe came home from school with candy and begged to try the penguin lollipop. Daddy and I hardly allow them any candy (since they eat so much at Grandpa’s house), but I said they could have it if they shared it. I quickly came to regret that decision as you can see by the photos below. Two rounds of teeth brushing later and I am sure there was still a slight hue on their tongues…

These silly kids…
I’ve been scratching my heads for days now trying to figure out how to get the kids to understand the days of the week and what order they go in… so I decided let’s just get an interactive calendar. With Daddy’s super smart and creative help, Mommy and Daddy had a 9pm arts and craft project and assembled a calendar with pockets so the kids could update the dates daily.

Taking their cue from the very talented Daddy…
This year, Thanksgiving was very cold and so we decided to stay inside for the day. We made it a pajama day and stayed cozy all day and put up our Christmas tree. The kids had a blast.

I might have to reconsider dancing classes for Chloe… she loves West Side Story’s “I Want to Be in America”
