Hand-me-downs
Check out baby Chloe’s new sneakers, courtesy of Sab and her daughter Lara. We are so thankful to both of them for all of Lara’s awesome hand-me-downs, even if they are pink! Actually, I have decided that if Chloe grows up loving the color pink, I will give ALL the credit to Sab. Thank you again Sab, I’m totally overwhelmed by your thoughtfulness and generosity and we’ll be sure to document her in all the great outfits!
With the Family
Happy July 4th!
Wishing everyone a happy July 4th! Chloe celebrated the day in this red, white and blue get-up. It was a very rainy day so we couldn’t go outside to take the picture. She loves to stand on the kitchen island granite because it’s nice and cool and her bare feet stick to the surface and she doesn’t slide. She’s so strong, I don’t even have to hold her weight up much when she is standing. Before you know it, she’ll be running us ragged around the house!
Chloe and Winnie (the Pooh)
Four Months
Today was Chloe’s four month doctor visit. All is well. She’s gaining weight each month (in other words, she’s getting fat) and she’s getting a little longer each visit as well (although with the gene pool between Laurent and I, I doubt she’s going to be anything taller than 5’5″ if she’s lucky). Still bald, a little bit more hair but nothing like her cousin Abby. The color of her hair is still debatable – I’m thinking it’s going to be a light brown, might even have some red hues to it. She likes to blow a lot of bubbles from her mouth as you can see from the picture below. Three more shots today, poor thing. Grandma came with us to the doctor’s office and I think it hurt Grandma more than it hurt little Chloe. She cried of course, but pretty soon fell asleep and forgot all about the shots. Doctor says we can start introducing solid foods so that she gets a taste of it, nothing serious like a meal but just to start experimenting and introducing her to new things. This could get messy. =0) I’m sure there will be some AWESOME food pictures once we start with that… more to come!
Nicole & Andrew’s Wedding
Congratulations to Nicole and Andrew for a beautiful June wedding. There’s nothing like a wedding to bring the family together. 26 passengers on a charter bus headed from NYC to Arlington equals lots of funny pictures and stories to tell. Grandma made matching outfits for Abby and Chloe – too bad we didn’t get more pictures of them together in them. Thanks to ALL the cousins who took such great pictures and shared them with us! I’m realizing that my hands were rather occupied holding Miss Chloe that I barely got a chance to take any pictures! We are so lucky to have such a huge close family. Love you guys!
Fun Around the House
Baby Chloe is taking it easy this week and recovering from a two week road trip that left her rather cranky and displaced. All is well and she’s much calmer now that we’re back home and into the same routine, although we did build her jumper immediately upon returning since she seemed to really enjoy Cousin Abby’s jumper.
Meeting Cousin Abby for the first time
On our way back up from Florida, we stopped in Burke, VA to visit another new edition to the family, Abigail Korn. Unlike bald baby Chloe, baby Abby is sporting a killer “fro” and has these beautiful light hazel eyes that she got from her daddy. I can definitely say I think the adults in the house had far more fun with the two kiddies given all the crazy pictures we ended up taking. If this is a sign of anything to come, we’re going to need some major space in drop box for all the pictures and videos I expect these two little ones to accumulate together. Yay for growing up with cousins! =0)
