Nothing much to report, another very cold week of snow and ice. Thanks to Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Queenie for lending their assistance in shoveling and clearing all the snow for us! Weather forecasts next week show temperatures in the mid 40s so while it’s not exactly spring, perhaps we’ll be able to take Miss Chloe outside in the stroller to the park for a quick visit and get some new pics. But for now, here’s Chloe’s first introduction to her baby brother Sebastien.
I don’t know about you, but I am definitely ready for some spring weather. Miss Chloe too. Poor thing has been cooped up in the house for I don’t know how long. If she’s lucky, she spends two minutes outside before she’s ushered into her car seat and off to see Grandma and Grandpa we go.
Although according to the Mui’s, it’s never too cold for a little ice cream. Let’s see, Grandpa loves ice cream, Mommy loves ice cream, Daddy loves ice cream… do you think Chloe is going to love ice cream? You tell me from the gleam in her eye and that tongue sticking out!
And you know that’s Grandpa tempting her right? Who else? But Chloe loves her Grandpa. Check out the great video Auntie Queenie got this weekend of the two of them sharing a moment.
Now that Chloe is one year old, I think it’s time for another portrait comparison. Any resemblance? What do you think?
Little Miss Chloe is finally getting over her cold and what’s on today’s agenda? Three shots AND blood needs to be drawn. Poor thing. Off we go for her one year check up. I totally thought we would tip the scale at 18 pounds but perhaps these last ten days of this cold have affected her weight gain. Well it’s not like she’s tiny or anything, so not to be worried. First time she got to stand on the big person scale, no more baby scale, hurray!
Wishing everyone a very happy Chinese New Year! Good health and prosperity to all! If I had to guess what Miss Chloe thought of her first Chinese New Year, her expressions below would accompany the following thoughts:
Left: OMG! It’s Chinese New Year? Well why didn’t you say so?
Middle: COOL! I get to wear pretty red clothes and receive lucky money!
It’s crazy to think that a whole year has gone by now with Miss Chloe. It’s been an amazing year filled with so many laughs and great moments. Who knew it would be this much fun? Thanks to everyone for joining us in celebrating this special day.
Just for fun, here’s a quick look back at Chloe’s first year, enjoy!
I didn’t have a chance to edit and add this clip during the last Abby and Chloe post, but the video is just too funny not to share. Definitely going to make the effort to get these two characters together more often just to see what kind of trouble they can get themselves in! Enjoy!
In celebration of the girls’ first birthday, we traveled down to Sunny Virginia Beach to spend time with Michelle and Abby. Look at how big Miss Abby is and all that hair! So jealous!
Chloe got to play with all of Abby’s awesome toys. I especially like the airplane scooter. =0)
Say hello to Nicole and Gracie. And look, Chloe is wearing a hat!
I love having these two little cuties together. I just want to pinch both of their cheeks, they are so CUTE!
And of course, happy (early) first birthday to both Abby and Chloe!
Nothing special to report, just keeping busy with Miss Chloe. Still no luck getting her to keep Grandma’s red knitted cap on but we tried something a little different and the results were just too funny.
Chloe knows how to take a hat off but she’s still trying to figure out how to take a hoodie off!
The weather is just too cold outside to do anything lately. I can’t remember the last time we took Chloe outside. The forecast said to expect 24-36 inches of snow originally but all we got was 6 inches and then very cold temperatures which turned everything to ice. Needless to say, we had to entertain ourselves inside.
So Daddy found Chloe a motorcycle to play with. It’s a good start, she will start off small and before you know it, she’ll be riding her own Goldwing with us!
And it looks like while I’m at work, Chloe and Daddy practice singing duets – they’re both very good, have a listen.
Big Brother Alex came by to visit this week to baby Chloe’s delight and she was all smiles and cuddling with her big brother!
Next update, the big one year birthday! Stay tuned!
I am pretty sure that Mommy and Daddy were more excited about taking Chloe into the snow for the first time than Chloe was about going out in the white powdery stuff outside. We bundled her up (thanks for the GREAT snowsuit Sab) and out she went. I don’t think she understood what was going on. The snow was blowing around because of the winds and it was cold to the touch (that and her hands were way inside her coat). I think we stayed maybe 5 minutes if that much to snap a few pictures. There’s always next year.
