Chloe and Sebastien

Chloe and Sebastien

Now that Sebastien is six months old, he’s so much more interesting and fun to film. The best part is watching his interactions with Chloe and how they respond to each other. At fifteen months apart, I think these two are going to be like two peas in a pod and hopefully the best of friends. Whenever Chloe is home, she always asks for “Di Di” which means “little brother” in Cantonese. She’s so aware of him and loves to be with him and I think now that Sebastien is a little bit older and more alert, he’s also becoming more aware of her.

Here’s a video of the two kiddies together. Love the hats they are wearing, my parents bought them back from their trip to Macchu Picchu in Peru. I’m actually really surprised how long Chloe kept the hat on given how much she doesn’t like wearing them!

In this video, you’ll hear Chloe say “awwwwwwwk” which means “kiss” in Cantonese. If you ask her to kiss Sebastien, she’ll put her head against his head and lately now she also says “kiss” when she is doing it. They’re so much fun! Sebastien is also now big enough to ride in the double stroller with his big sister and so Daddy took them to their latest checkup in the double stroller for the first time together.

Here are some mash up videos of Sebastien lately. Our sweet, happy Sebastien. So precious! I just want him to stay like this for just a little bit longer.

We leave for our big trip to Hong Kong on Monday. The list of things to pack is crazy long and I am super stressed about packing, getting to the airport, getting on the plane, pumping on the plane, getting to the hotel, you name it, and I’m stressed about it. I had a near panic attack the night prior because I thought we were leaving on Tuesday and come to find out our tickets say Monday and for a moment, I thought we had bought different tickets than my parents. AHHHHHH!

We definitely have at least two things ready. First is our passports, not that Chloe or Sebastien look anything like their baby pictures.

And Chloe has been practicing for our trip, check this out:

It’s going to be a memorable trip with lots of laugh that I’m sure will provide LOTS of blog material so stay tuned!

Six Months

Six Months

The weather has started to turn colder and the leaves are falling off the trees and everywhere. Sebastien is six months old already and this little man is not so little! I have a feeling he might be heavier than his big sister by the time he turns one! Sebastien’s new milestone is playing on his tummy. Daddy spends lots of time rolling him back and forth from his back to his tummy on his playmat. It’s just a matter of time before he turns on his own. He’s definitely got the leg strength, you should see it when we try to change his diaper. Sebastien plants both feet firmly on the changing table and lifts his butt high up in the air so that every time you go to put the diaper on him, it keeps lifting out of place. He’s a funny guy this one. And he’s just too cute, I just want to squish his cute face all day! Happy six months to our little man.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

While Halloween falls on Saturday this year, both kiddies are getting over runny noses and so we skipped the annual parade in the neighborhood park.  Maybe next year the weather will be nicer… but for now this will have to do.  Can you tell who’s who?

More Fun With the Kids

More Fun With the Kids

The best part of the day is coming home to spend time with the kids and Laurent. Chloe is becoming more and more talkative. She’s got a great vocabulary of small words (mostly in Cantonese) that include grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, little brother, aunt, milk, fish (short for Goldfish), open, bath, eat, and give please. And of course there’s a whole bunch of baby talk that is jibberish to us but I’m sure makes perfect sense to her. Sebastien is as cute as ever and continues to grow like a weed. He’s always happy to talk to you and give you a bunch of big smiles – he always brightens my day.

Here are some videos of Sebastien from September that I had missed posting previously:

During my pregnancy when I was carrying Sebastien, I could really tell the difference between him and Chloe, specifically how much active movement I felt. My OB attributed it to the fact that with Chloe, the placenta was on top of her so it muffled some of her movements whereas with Sebastien, the placenta was underneath him. Somewhere along the end of the second trimester, around 8:30pm after we had put Chloe to bed and I put my feet up on the couch, Sebastien would start this marathon of kicking. And when I say marathon, I really mean marathon. Laurent and I counted a few times and it would get upwards of 20-30 consecutive kicks within a second or two of each other. And it was consistently every night. It was the weirdest thing! Now that Sebastien has joined our family, his kicking has not subsided. At least it confirmed that I wasn’t crazy feeling all those kicks! He reminds me of a Disney character, what do you think? =0)

Some new pictures of our happy little family. Love you all!

Five Months

Five Months

Little baby boy is five months old already!! Where did the time go? Lord knows he is SO big and already so heavy that it’s hard to believe he’s only five months. He’s so chatty and loves to gurgle all the time. When we take him outside, he’s so alert – he loves to look at the leaves on the trees blowing around.

Look at my handsome little man. I wish I could take some credit but since my children look nothing like me, clearly I had nothing to do with their good looks. And he’s so fun, and such a happy baby, can’t you tell from his pictures? I just want to squeeze those cheeks and kiss and cuddle him all day!

05FiveMonth

Soon it will be time to start packing for our trip to Hong Kong in November. Never mind that Mommy is uber-stressed out about the trip but it is comforting to know that we’ll have a huge support system on the flight there. Between Grandma, Grandpa, Great-Uncle Savio, Auntie Queenie, Daddy and Mommy, I think the odds are with us that we’ll figure this 20-hour trip. Definitely not going to be doing it again anytime soon! Although I’m sure I’ll LOTS of fun stories to blog about! More to come…

Kiddie videos

Kiddie videos

As promised, here are a few clips put together of the kiddies as of late. Hope you enjoy!

Miss Chloe and her fun-filled trips to the park. She definitely loves the swings but thinks she is a big girl and doesn’t want to go in the kiddie swing anymore…

A few people have asked if we’ll be enrolling Chloe in gymnastics since she seems to be a natural for the sport. I don’t know. It’s too early for all that, ha ha.

This video just makes me smile and want to cuddle with my son. He’s just so yummy and cute.

Fun Times

Fun Times

It’s been a crazy two weeks, especially since Grandma and Grandpa went away for vacation.  Took lots of pictures and tons of videos but no time to sit down and do any edits!  So here are two weeks worth of pictures and stay tuned for videos to be posted shortly.

250_ChloeA few weeks ago, Chloe started tugging on her diaper and then running to the bathroom door. We think perhaps its time for potty training!

I absolutely LOVE the denim jacket on Chloe. She’s just too cool with her purple leggings.

And Chloe’s new favorite game is peek-a-boo, or as Chloe would call it “I See”. We can’t seem to get her to say “i see YOU” but you get the gist.

Sebastien is such a happy baby. Always smiling and always happy, we love him and his giggles.

I have no idea WHAT kind of face Sebastien is making on the right, but it’s pretty darn funny ha ha. Nice pic Queenie.

Sebastien is showing such great leg and neck strength that we decided to bring our the jumper early and let him try it out. Big sister Chloe is showing him how it works. She’s going to be a great big sister.

HUGE thank you to Queenie for these two great pictures. We have so FEW pictures of the four of us together so these two are definitely keepers! Love our little family.

Four Months

Four Months

Happy four months to baby Sebastien! A late doctor’s visit so posting this a few days late. Both kiddies went for their check ups on the same day. Big sister is 20 pounds at a little over a year and a half. And how heavy is baby brother? I’m beginning to think we shouldn’t be calling him baby brother anymore because he’s going to be bigger than his sister very soon!

So when I tell you I had to take over 200 photos in order to get these 3 or 4, I’m really not kidding. These kids don’t sit still, it’s literally impossible to pose them into photos together. Sigh. We tried out best so these will have to do. Hope you enjoy them and thanks Auntie Queenie for the great outfits!

LOVE the Auntie selfie! Thanks Q!  And yes, that’s Sebastien wrapped up in a swaddle on the bottom right and what does he do? It’s not his hand that he sneaks out this time – it’s his FOOT!! How he did that I don’t know…
