Hanging with the kids
Daddy is away on a bike trip so Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Queenie and Mommy took turns watching the kids through the week. We kept the kids busy with a variety of activities… reading… puzzles… dim sum in Chinatown via bus and train…
Generally the kids play well together. There’s always some screaming match that takes place when they want the same toy but then they have their moments where they’re so sweet together.

Their newest activity is painting. The kids saw a picture of a paintbrush and paint in one of their books and asked me what it was. When I explained it was like markers but with a brush, they asked to play with it and so there we go. It also seemed to be the perfect opportunity so we can introduce them to paint brushes and then maybe paint some pumpkins later in the month? =0)
The kids are really amazing – so much to talk about and so much fun to be around (even if they need some yelling at every now and then). Even when they wake me up at 6:45am on a Sunday and I say good morning to them and hide under my covers while they look for me (ha ha).
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, the kids now have kiddie chopsticks. It’s gonna take a lot of practice and patience but Chloe seems to get the idea… look at her fingers and how she is holding those chopsticks. Such a natural!

Chloe is such a good big sister (when she’s not grabbing things from Sebastien or pushing him). She’s very protective of him. This photo was taken waiting for the bus. I couldn’t decide whether I preferred it in color or black and white. So I didn’t choose and just decided to post both.
