End of April

End of April

And totally swamped with work, sorry for not posting more pictures regularly!  Thanks to those who keep checking in and asking me for more pictures (keep it up, the pressure helps me stay on top of these posts!).  Here are some quickie shots of our little girl at the end of April.

More Smiles

At nine weeks, our little girl is really quick to recognize voices and faces. Between Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa, we are getting a myriad of smiles and coos regularly.  Here’s a quick back to back photo shoot of her award winning smiles.  Such a cutie pie!

Clean up in Aisle Four…

After some tummy time where Baby Chloe showed some great neck and upper body strength, she gave Daddy a little gift… and then Daddy surprised us with his reaction!  Check it out!

In the blink of an eye, our little baby is now eight weeks old! Both my parents commented last week how much bigger and heavier she was and so I definitely knew we were going to tip the scale past 8 pounds. Little did we know!  Our little fatty weighed in today at 9 pounds 12 ounces! Holy cow (literally)! What’s in my breast milk!?!?!? Look at those pudgy thighs and cheeks! She’s like a little sumo wrestler in the making, LOL! Doctor says she is super engaged and very alert, turning her head from side to side as she is stimulated by sounds and people. She’s smiling now when she recognizes certain voices and noises and has even started cooing a little bit. Also, she’s getting better at sitting up all by herself and supporting her neck as you can see in her picture. Unfortunately, we ended the doctor’s visit with one oral vaccine and three shots. Poor thing scrunched up her face and wailed louder than I have every heard her but it only lasted a minute, she was good otherwise and Daddy comforted her afterwards. That is, until we returned home and pulled off her bigger-than-her-thigh band-aids before the glue got too sticky. My poor baby. We love her so much, she’s still the cutest darn thing ever.

Baby’s First Shower

Baby’s First Shower

So we’ve been giving Baby Chloe baths in our little blue plastic portable tub since our Brooklyn home doesn’t exactly allow the square footage for a luxurious bath tub in our bathroom. Today, Daddy decided to give Chloe a taste of our shower. She was so good, didn’t make a sound, didn’t fuss and I think she enjoyed it! Daddy held her tight and sprayed some mist over her and eventually let the water run on her while I soaped her up and cleaned her off. Success! A squeaky clean fresh smelling baby! I wish we had time to take some naked pictures of her but maybe next time, she was tired after her adventure this morning and is now sound asleep.

Having started going back to work now two days a week and working the rest from home, I definitely look forward to going home at the end of the day. What makes it all worth it is when Baby Chloe cracks a BIG SMILE for me like this one.  Look at her sitting and holding up her neck at seven weeks – she is so strong!

Thanks to Auntie Judy, Baby Chloe has a new BFF that is this beautiful, huge, plush white, super soft teddy bear.  As you can see, they are very close.  =0)Teddy

Close up with Daddy

Mommy usually showers first after feeding Baby Chloe in the morning and so after burping her, Chloe usually stays with Daddy in our bed. She looks very comfy in our bed, don’t you think?  Better not get used to it!
